Vinyl sides masked SC house's pre-Civil War roots

For years, vinyl and wallboard covered a two-story house near Toney Creek in Belton, giving it a modern look that masked its pre-Civil War roots. Neighbors, some of whom have lived in the area for 25 years, never knew the house as anything more than a typical farmhouse.
